The Solent Deals Awards, scheduled for June 25, is being postponed to November 18. The venue, Hilton at the Ageas Bowl, and presenter Mark Durden-Smith, remain unchanged.

Organiser The Business Magazine said: “We have taken this decision reluctantly, but with the coronavirus epidemic intensifying in recent days, it seems prudent to postpone the awards dinner. All table bookings and sponsorships will be honoured for the new date.”

David Murray, managing director, added: “The health and wellbeing of our guests and employees is paramount – and we look forward to getting past this crisis and staging a great event for the corporate finance community in the autumn.”

Awards night: November 18

Held every year at the Hilton at Ageas Bowl, Hedge End, Southampton, the Solent Deals Awards brings together corporate finance advisers, lawyers, bankers, private-equity investors, accountants, and funding specialists – plus of course the management teams that have led the deals themselves.

The 270 dealmakers who attend the dinner get to vote on the night too – for the Deals of the Year (small, mid-range and large). The only way to register your vote is to be there on the night.
